Last month, we hosted a new edition of the Exclusive Days, this time dedicated to the discovery of the ORC 52.2, departing from Lorient La Base.
The objective: to offer the opportunity to take to the sea aboard hull n°1 of the new model, and to experience, in real conditions, the ORC philosophy: performance, simplicity and bespoke support.
A day of experience aboard ORC 52.2 hull n°1
From the morning, guests were welcomed aboard the ORC 52.2 catamaran by the shipyard’s teams. After a friendly briefing led by Bruno Gillard and Eloi De Parscau, ORC account managers, the catamaran left the pontoons of Lorient La Base to reach the sailing area.
On the agenda: sailing, hands-on time, technical exchanges and sensations at the helm. Each guest had the opportunity to take the tiller and feel the precision and direct connection with the boat that define the signature of ORC catamarans. Alongside them, the shipyard’s teams shared their expertise on the design of the ORC 52.2, its refinements compared to the previous model, and the philosophy that guides every detail of the boat.

An ideal sailing ground to discover the 52.2
This edition of the Exclusive Days benefited from particularly favourable sailing conditions.
For the prospects, this is a key moment: feeling the boat accelerate, understanding how it behaves both upwind and downwind, gauging the ease of handling of a platform designed as much for performance as for cruising. The hull, sail plan and deck layout of the 52.2 all make full sense once at sea.
A convivial anchorage and Convivial anchorage and informal exchanges
At midday, the ORC 52.2 set course for a sheltered anchorage for a moment of pause. Lunch on board, exchanges between future owners, technical questions continued in a more informal setting with the ORC teams: this break is an integral part of the Exclusive Days experience.

Beyond the sailing itself, this day illustrated everything that makes the ORC signature:
